Ahmed Abou Ali is a founding partner of Hassouna & Abou Ali law firm since 1988, with a LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School. He practiced law in the US with Sidley Austin law firm in the banking and corporate areas. Acting on behalf of multinational companies and international agencies, he has expertise in the areas of banking, capital market, corporate, investment, mergers and acquisitions, project finance and restructuring, and legislative and economic reforms. He acts both as a transactional and litigator attorney. He is a Board member and chair of the Compensation Committee of Telecom Egypt; and a Board member of BLOM Bank Egypt. He is also a member of several trade and professional organizations, including the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, where he is its current Chair of Legal Affairs Committee and past Executive Vice President. He is also member of the U.S. Egypt Business Council and the current President of the Egyptian Society for the Protection of Intellectual Property.
